Pre-Licensed Clinician

Kim’s approach is fueled by compassion and curiosity, but is rooted in Relational-cultural Theory, Internal Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy. She works in a trauma-informed, healing-centered way and is sensitive to one’s intersectional identity. She draws on embodied approaches and works to support self-compassion, self-regulation, and to foster resilience in those she is privileged to walk alongside. Deeply relational, her greatest gifts are her capacity for empathy, unwavering non-judgement, and her ability – and privilege - to build authentic healing relationships with other spiritual beings on this shared human journey.

Kim is an art psychotherapist and a critical-clinical social worker. She also serves as an Associate Professor of Social Work and is a PhD candidate at McGill University. Kim has been a therapist, educator, and advocate for two decades with a range of individuals, families, and groups. Trauma and anxiety have been the common denominators.

Kim views life struggles from a systems perspective, which highlights how we are embedded within complex structures of family, community, and sociocultural dynamics which can oppress, suppress, or otherwise constrain us from living in alignment with our authentic spirit. Kim welcomes working with all gender identities, ethnicities, and across all age ranges
